Safety Notice for XM2 Labs SLG-20 Retractable Landing Gear

The SLG-20 is a mechanical system driven by a powerful servo motor. The servo motor has very high torque and the potential to cause serious injury. SLG-20 users must be aware and alert to the risks involved in using the SLG-20. The primary safety risks include injury due to unexpected actuation of the servo motor and mechanism.

Whenever the SLG-20 is powered, operate with use caution and position your hands well clear of the mechanism. Any maintenance on the SLG-20 should be performed with power removed.

When powering up the SLG-20, the legs must be in the DOWN position. The SLG-20 does not have position feedback, and it assumes that the legs are DOWN on boot. If the SLG-20 is booted with the legs in the UP position, the legs can move violently when first actuated, and present risk to the user.
