The SLG-20 Carbon Legs kit comes disassembled for ease of shipping, it is simple to assemble but must be done in the correct way to ensure alignment.

Legs Kit Contents

  • Carbon Vertical Tube with slots *4 (600mm or 700mm)

  • Carbon Bottom Tube *2 600mm

  • Rubber End Caps *4

  • Bottom T-Joint with bolts *4

  • Elastic Hook with bolts *4

Assembly Instructions

Before assembling the legs, the SLG-20 modules should be mounted to the aircraft, or held securely to a table as shown below. Ensure that there is no power to the aircraft or modules during this process.

1: Insert the vertical tubes into the tube holders, make sure the slots align with the notches in the tube holders. Tighten with red thumbscrews.

2: Manually move the legs to the up position, and tug on the springs by hand to ensure the mechanism is fully locked out at the top.

3: Slide the elastic hook onto the tube. hold the elastic spring along the leg so that it is not slack but not stretched. Space the elastic hook approximately 17mm from the end of the elastic spring. Tighten the bolt to secure the elastic hook and use threadlocker. Repeat for other side.

4: Test the spring tension. the spring should not be loose with the leg in the up position, but it should be fairly easy to rotate the mechanism with your thumb as shown. Adjust as needed.

5: Lower the legs carefully, using your thumb to unlock the mechanism as shown in the step above.

7: Slide the T-Joints onto the bottom tube but leave the bolts loose

8: Align the T-Joints with the vertical tubes, and slide onto the the vertical tubes. Tighten all bolts and use threadlocker.
