The HD FPV System for ALTA X is made up of two crucial components: the Brain Bay and the HD FPV Camera Bay.
The Camera Bay securely holds the HD FPV Digital Air Unit, ensuring stable footage and allowing for adjustable camera angles. An in-built fan actively keeps the video transmitter cool.
Users can manually adjust and lock the FPV camera angle before takeoff. The HD FPV Camera Bay is designed for user-friendly, DIY camera installations. Its forward-looking design ensures compatibility with future digital VTX FPV camera systems. Both the camera and bay are easy to integrate and designed for user installation. The ALTA X HD FPV Camera Bay fits directly into Bay 1 at the front of the aircraft.
The Brain Bay, situated in Bay 2 of the ALTA X, acts as the central hub for the HD FPV ecosystem. It houses the MAVTx operating system, developed and engineered by XM2 Labs, facilitating seamless communication between the ALTA X flight controller, Brain Bay, and HD FPV Camera Bay. This configuration grants users full access and control over the digital OSD.
Additionally, the Alta X Brain Bay features three user-configurable PWM outputs on the back of the Circuit Board, integrated for enhanced payload control options.
System Power (required)
12V DC to DC Regulator for Alta X (tested and recommended)
Alternatively, connect the Brain Bay Power Input Cable (XT60 or XT30) to a 7.4V - 25.2V power source. Plug the JST-PH 2-pin connector into the Brain Bay power input.
Warning: The Brain Bay must be powered by a 2S-6S power source (7.4V - 25.2V). Connecting the Brain Bay to ALTA X flight packs will cause permanent damage to both the Brain Bay and HD VTX.
