Getting Started
Getting Started with the Alta X HD FPV System

There are multiple versions of the Alta X HD FPV System. First, determine whether your HD FPV Camera Bay is pre-installed with a DJI 03 Air Unit, a Caddx Walksnail Avatar HD Pro Kit (Dual Antennas), or if it is the BYO (Build Your Own) version where the user installs the HD FPV camera system.
The DJI 03 Air Unit (pictured left) has one antenna.
The Caddx Walksnail Avatar HD Pro (pictured right) has two antennas.
The BYO version features mounting options for both the DJI 03 Air Unit and the Caddx Walksnail Avatar HD Pro.
Power Input Connection
Power Input Cable:
Use either the supplied XT60 or XT30 cable.
Connect the cable to a 7.4V - 25.2V power source.
Recommended: Use the Freefly Systems 12V DC to DC Regulator for Alta X.
Brain Bay Power Input:
Plug the JST-PH 2-pin connector into the brain bay power input within the Alta X.
On first use, you may be prompted by the camera manufacturer to connect the device to a computer via USB-C for activation and relevant firmware updates. We recommend powering on the camera system via USB-C and checking for updates before installing the HD FPV Camera Bay into the Alta X.
The pre-installed VTX versions are shipped without antennas clipped onto the unit to protect the system during transit. Clip on the antennas onto the unit follows the instructions below.
Goal
Clip the antennas onto the HD FPV Camera Bat and prepare the unit to be installed within the Alta X.
Instructions
Slot the antenna clip over the antenna(s).
Guide the clip into place using the provided slot(s) on the HD FPV Camera Bay.
Once you have prepared the HD FPV Camera and digital VTX, you may move onto installing the device within the Alta X.
