Input Power Requirements | EON800 + ALTA X
How to power the EON800 Tether System for Alta X using a Generator, Electric Vehicle or equivalent power input.
Power Requirements
The Tether Ground Station requires an energy input between 200-250V, 47-63Hz and maximum operating continuous current of 32A.
Tether Ground Station Input Lead
The Tether Ground Station to Generator Input Lead is the power cable required to connect a generator or equivalent input power to the EON800 Tether Ground Station. The Power Connector on front of Tether Ground Station is a powerCON NAC3MP-HC socket, which requires a mating NAC3FC-HC plug. The connectors comprise of contacts for phase, neutral and protective earth (ground) conductors rated for currents up to 30 Amps and for voltages up to 250V.
Powering the EON800 from a Tesla Cybertruck or Compatible EV
The EON800 Tether Ground Station requires 240V AC at 30A. The Tesla Cybertruck’s NEMA 14-50 (240V/40A) outlet is ideal for field operations using portable electric power instead of a generator.
What you’ll need:
A 14-50P (Male) to L14-30R (Female) adapter cable.
A Tesla Cybertruck or an EV with a 240V, 30–40A outlet.
Connection Steps:
Plug the 14-50P end of the adapter into the Cybertruck's 240V outlet.
Connect the L14-30R end to the TGS Generator Power Input Lead.
Enable the outlet via the Cybertruck touchscreen console.
Monitor EV power draw and remaining battery capacity using the EV’s display (Tesla shows this in real time which is useful for long operations).
Startup Sequence:
Once power is confirmed stable, switch the TGS to Standby.
Only after confirming drone and ground gear are connected and safe should you activate HV (High Voltage).
This keeps the system safe and avoids sending power up the tether before you're ready.
