Shutdown Procedure | How to Shutdown the ALTA X Tether System

The EON800 Shutdown procedure walks you through how to shutdown the EON800 Tether System for ALTA X. Only commence the Shut Down Procedure once the ALTA X has landed.

The EON800 Shutdown Procedure:

  1. Switch OFF (DOWN) the 'HV' Enable Switch (RED-LEFT) on the Tether Ground Station.

  2. Disconnect the Drone Batteries from the Drone.

  3. Switch OFF (DOWN) the 'MAIN' Switch (RED-RIGHT) on the Tether Ground Station.

  4. Pack away the EON800 Tether System and Alta X UAS.

  5. Storage Charge the Drone Batteries if not using.

Multiple Flights in One Session

The aircraft can be landed and taken off multiple times without repeating the shutdown and start-up procedure. However, repetitive flights without shutdown can only be achieved if the HV remains ON, the Drone Batteries remain connected to the Drone and the XTD QGroundControl application remains open.

The pilot can verify that the High Voltage (HV) is ON by looking at the HV Status LED. This operation guide should be checked before every flight.

If any part of the system needs to be turned OFF, you must go through the Shutdown Procedure, and then follow the Start-up Procedure before your next flight.

If the system has a critical error during flight the Alta X will automatically return to home, the EON800 will shut down and the LCD on the Tether Ground Station will diusplay the cause of the critical error.
